*All of the works shown are examples of previously completed
works, and are not currently for sale. I only do custom, commissioned
carvings.
Commissioning a Carving:
Each carving is unique, one of a kind , and should be something
you will enjoy seeing for a very long time. It will be an heirloom.
I can do any size carving, in nearly any species of wood , and nearly
any style and design. The only limits are your interests and imagination.
If you are interested in having a carving done, I would like to
visit with you, so that I can get to know a little bit about you.
It will help me to design something unique for you. I would like
as much feed back as possible from you about what qualities and
features that you want in the carving. I will then do a drawing
in advance, based on your ideas, for your approval. I then encourage
you to suggest changes to these designs until we arrive at just
what you want.
How Much?, tough question, How long is a string?
The cost of custom , one of a kind , unique , work is of course,
more than "off the shelf" production line products, and
the price is proportionate. Prices are based on the size, actual
final design, type of wood and finish, and it varies accordingly.
I can give accurate costs when these details are known.
Meanwhile, for budgeting purposes, some ball park figures:
Most mantles start at approx. $300 per lineal foot.
Coats of arms usually start about $250.
